Music video for Tatsuro Yamashita's new song, "Onomatopoeia ISLAND" was also released today. The song was written as the theme for the series, and the MV was created by dwarf studios. Please enjoy both!

'dwarf studios' is an award-winning studio based in Tokyo established in 2003 by Tsuneo Goda, the director & creator of the world-famous Domo. dwarf specializes in character creation and stop-motion animation production ranging from theatrical films, series, music videos, web movies and TV commercials.
Recent releases include Netflix series ‘Pokémon Concierge’ (nominated for Annie’s best director), ‘Rilakkuma and Kaoru’ (nominated for Annie's best director) and ‘Rilakkuma's Theme Park Adventure’(nominated for International Emmy), an original short film 'Mogu & Perol', an aspiring pilot film for feature ‘HIDARI’, and many many more.

ドワーフ在籍、ポケモンコンシェルジュ（アニー賞ノミネート）の監督。東京芸術大学大学院在学中からコマ撮りアニメーション制作を始める。オリジナルのキャラクターやショートフィルムのディレクターを担う一方で、Netflixリラックマシリーズ1作目『リラックマとカオルさん』にADとして参加。2作目「リラックマと遊園地」ではADを務めな がらエピソードディレクターを担当。 スピード感あふれる演出とコミックタッチのキャラクターデザインが持ち味。NHKプチプチ・アニメ『空き缶のツナ』は小川の完全オリジナルのショートフィルムシリーズ。小川が川村真司氏と共同監督を務めた木彫り人形によるストップモーション時代劇「HIDARI」のパイロットフィルムが海外でも評価を得ている。
Director of Pokémon Concierge (nominated for Annie’s best director) at dwarf studios. Born in Tokyo in 1988. Finished animation master’s course of Graduate School of Film and New Media Tokyo University of the Arts and joined dwarf in 2016. Participated in Netflix series ‘Rilakkuma and Kaoru’ as the first assistant director and also in ‘Rilakkuma's Theme Park Adventure’ in which he served as an episode director for two episodes as well. In 2021, his original picture book, ‘Tsuitekuru’ was published and his original short film ‘Tuna in an Empty Can’ is being broadcasted on NHK since 2022. He is also a co-director of the pilot film ‘HIDARI’, an aspiring pilot film for a feature.
ドワーフのプロデューサー松本紀子が審査員として参加している、TBS主催の短編映像コンテスト「DigiCon6」から誕生したオリジナルキャラクター『MAILOO ＆ ANNLEE』（見里朝希作）が、世界的イラストレーター上杉忠弘氏により、初の書籍化。それを記念した展覧会が京都のギャラリーNEUTRALにて開催中です。お近くの方はぜひ、ご来場ください。

New episodes of the Netflix series “Pokémon Concierge”, produced in stop-motion animation by dwarf studios, has been announced to be released globally on September 4th, 2025 exclusively on Netflix.
主題歌は山下達郎さんが本作のために書き下ろした新曲「オノマトペ ISLAND」に決定。晴れやかな歌声とメロディ、そして丁寧に紡がれるぬくもりのある言葉が、心だけでなく耳も癒します。
The theme song for the new episodes titled “ONOMATOPE ISLAND” written by Tatsuro Yamashita for this film brings comfort to both your heart and your ears with his bright voices, uplifting melodies, and warm lyrics.
そして声優には、主人公ハル役を務める女優・のんさんに加え、青年ケント役に町田啓太さん(「グラスハート」「幽☆遊☆白書」)、ダン役に山路和弘さん（「ワンパンマン」「SPY×FAMILY」) の出演が決定しました。

Iku Ogawa, director of the Annie Award-nominated Netflix series Pokémon Concierge, is a driving force at dwarf studios. Born in Tokyo in 1988, he joined dwarf in 2016 after graduating from the animation master's course at Tokyo University of the Arts.
Iku's significant contributions to dwarf’s stop-motion projects include serving as first assistant director for Rilakkuma and Kaoru and episode director for two episodes of Rilakkuma's Theme Park Adventure. He also co-directed HIDARI, an ambitious pilot film for a feature. Iku is the author of the 2021 picture book Tsuitekuru and creator of the short film Tuna in an Empty Can, airing on NHK since 2022.
